Our Mission
Over 135 million Indians live with obesity, yet most never get access to evidence-based medical care. Diets fail. Gyms intimidate. Clinics are far. NuvaHealth exists to change that — by connecting patients with qualified doctors through private online consultations, delivering prescriptions to their door, and providing ongoing care through a single trusted platform.
What We Are (and Are Not)
NuvaHealth is a technology platform. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide medical advice. All clinical decisions are made solely by independent, NMC-registered physicians who use our platform to consult with patients. NuvaHealth operates as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and its associated rules.
Clinical Standards & Compliance
- NMC-registered doctors only — Every doctor on NuvaHealth is a Registered Medical Practitioner with a valid registration number issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.
- TPG 2020 compliant — All consultations follow the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 issued by the NMC. Video consultation is mandatory for any first-time consultation involving prescription medication.
- DPDP Act 2023 compliant — Patient data is processed with explicit consent, stored on servers hosted within India, and handled under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
- No drug-name advertising — In line with CDSCO guidance, we never advertise specific prescription medicines. All treatment decisions are individualised by the treating physician.
Editorial & Medical Review Policy
Every article published on the NuvaHealth Blog is written by our in-house health content team and medically reviewed by a licensed physician before publication. We cite peer-reviewed research where relevant, prioritise Indian clinical data (ICMR-INDIAB, AIIMS, NFHS-5), and avoid promotional claims about specific medicines or outcomes.
Articles are reviewed every 12 months or sooner when new evidence emerges. Corrections are logged transparently.
